Your adventure begins bright and early at 7.00am as you depart from Drysdale Station on a 35-minute flight to Mitchell Plateau. Upon arrival, hop into a rugged 4WD for a scenic drive to the start of the Punamii-unpuu Hiking Trail, where an informative guided hike awaits. As you traverse this stunning landscape, enjoy snacks and drinks at picturesque rest stops while immersing yourself in the natural beauty around you.

Explore the sparkling rock pools of Mitchell Falls and savour a delightful packed picnic lunch surrounded by breath-taking views. Then, prepare for an exhilarating helicopter flight back to the campground, offering a bird’s-eye view of this magnificent region.

After your aerial adventure, your guide will escort you to the luxurious Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge, where you can unwind with a swim or relax by Camp Creek. Indulge in a gourmet dinner and retreat to your opulent tent accommodation with an ensuite for a restful night under the stars.

On day two, after a hearty breakfast, depart at 10.00am for a transfer back to Mitchell Plateau airfield. At 10.45 AM, take to the skies again and orbit the magnificent Mitchell River Falls before embarking on a spectacular 1.5-hour coastal scenic flight. Marvel at breath-taking views of the Hunter River, Donkin Hill Falls, Prince Frederick Harbour, Mt Trafalgar, Mt Waterloo, the Prince Regent River, and Mt Hann along the way.

This flight and tour requires a minimum of 4 passengers to confirm and a minimum of 2 guests per booking. If the minimum of 4 passengers isn't met, a 2 person guaranteed departure price of $2,850pp is available.

The Mitchell Falls walk is a Class 5 walk and requires a high level of fitness. Guests must acknowledge at time of booking that they understand that should they or anyone else on the booking be unable to continue with the walk or cancel on the day, no refund will be issued, and guests will be liable for any additional costs incurred.

AVAILABILITY & BOOKING INFORMATION

Flights operate out of Drysdale River Station from May to August.

If booking within 24 hours of departure, please phone us for availability as you cannot book online or, if you are at Drysdale River Station please visit the Booking Centre.

All bookings will be confirmed once minimum numbers are met to operate the tour. If we are unable to immediately confirm your tour, the booking will be placed 'on hold' pending minimum numbers. Full payment is required at time of booking and if for some reason we are unable to confirm the tour or we do not meet minimum numbers to operate the tour, a full refund will be issued or an alternative date or guaranteed departure price will be offered. Following confirmation of the tour, if for some reason the tour falls below the minimum number of 4 required to operate, the tour will be placed on hold until minimum numbers are met.

We will respond within 48 hours to confirm your booking and departure time.

Children classified as 3-12 years of age, $50 off the adult price. Infants 0-2 years of age travel free on the lap of a parent.

CANCELLATION POLICY

No refund will apply for cancellations within 48 hours of the tour departure, we suggest taking out travel insurance in the event you may have to cancel at late notice. 3-7 days prior to departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. For any cancellations prior to one week of travel, or any tour cancellations due to weather or any unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

The Mitchell Falls walk is a Class 5 walk and requires a high level of fitness. Guests must acknowledge at time of booking that they understand that should they or anyone else on the booking be unable to continue with the walk or cancel on the day, no refund will be issued, and guests will be liable for any additional costs incurred.

For safety and operational requirements Air Kimberley observes a maximum individual weight of 120kg per person for all scenic tours. 

Adverse weather conditions may mean that the scheduled itinerary cannot proceed as intended. If adverse weather means that you are unable to complete the full tour, then any refund will be adjusted on a pro rata basis dependent on the flying time involved. 

If we are unable to complete a particular tour activity, a refund for the cost of that activity will be refunded. 

Following confirmation of the tour, if for some reason the tour falls below the minimum number of 4 required to operate, the tour will be placed on hold until minimum numbers are met.
